Bible FitnessLet's play an exercise game called Bible Fitness. I will read a verse and we will all do the action mentioned in that verse till I find the next verse. Ready? Listen carefully.
Every Part MattersMoving around sure is lots of fun. What body parts outside and inside help us move around when we march or run? (Get ideas.) You know, if we didn't have toes we would not be able to balance correctly to stay upright. Our brain sends signals to our muscles so that they know exactly when they need to lift our legs up and put them down. Our heart works really hard when we move around. It sends blood to our muscles, so that our muscle cells get the oxygen and food they need to work. Yes, all of our body actually is working together to make it possible for us to move however we want. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:25, "God wanted the different parts [of the body] to care the same for each other." Our body is all connected and interdependent. If one part hurts, it keeps us from being able to do lots of things. If everything is healthy and well, we can do lots of things. 8 Special LawsIf we take care of our bodies, we will have the energy and strength to do all that God asks us to do. Do you know how to take care of the body that God gave you? Follow my actions as I share with you 8 ways to keep your body well.
As a family, which health laws do you think we do well at? Which ones do we need to work on? Let's pick one that we all will focus on together and decide how we will do it this month.
