Early Bird Special: Anytime Binders and Folders Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today the early birds did an activity out of the anytime binder or folder bin. Nature Nugget: Monarch Butterflies Butterflies are beautiful flying insects. They go through many changes during their lifetime. They start as eggs. Then, they are born as caterpillars. Caterpillars eat and eat and eat lots of leaves. When they are done eating and growing, they attach themselves somewhere and develop a hard shell called a chrysalis. Finally, the new butterfly emerges from the chrysalis. When its wings dry, it is ready to fly. Each year God guides a new generation of monarch butterflies to find their way back to the same mountain forests in Mexico in which their parents met to mate. Then, the females travel back north to lay their eggs on milkweed plants. Jesus also went on a very long, special journey from heaven to this earth to die for our sins. The Bible says in Mark 13:27, "And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven." When it is time for Jesus to come again, He will then take that long journey from heaven back to this earth with His angels and bring us home to heaven with Him. Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments We are memorizing the 10 Commandments right now. You can practice along with me right here. Mission Helper: Giving the Invitation, Part 1 Dyan and his little brother Ryan live in the Solomon Islands. At school, Dyan's cousins kept talking about all the fun they were having each week at Sabbath School. Soon Dyan decided to join them. He had lots of fun learning about Jesus, making crafts, singing songs, and hearing exciting mission stories. He invited his brother Ryan to come. Ryan loved it, too. Soon the boys convinced their mom to also come to church. Have you told anyone about your church experience?
