Early Bird Special: Anytime Binder Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today the early birds completed Bible ABC dot-to-dot pages from the anytime binder. Nature Nugget: Turtles Turtles are interesting creatures of God. Some live in the water. Others live on land. Some eat fish. Others eat berries and grubs. But, they ALL have a shell. Their shell is attached to their body and grows with them. It's always there as a special place for the turtle to hide and be safe from harm. The Bible says in Psalm 4:8, "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep. For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." God is like our shell that stays with us wherever we go. He keeps us safe. We can always turn to Him in help. Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments We are learning the meaning of the last 6 commandments. Please help your child memorize all of them. You can practice with me right here. Mission Helper: Praying for Parents Tema and Tonia loved going to church on Sabbath with their grandmother. Whenever they asked their mother to go, she would say no. They decided to pray that God would help their mother come to church, too. One day at church, the pastor announced it was visitor's Sabbath next week. Tema and Tonia decided to take that opportunity to specially invite their mother to come to church. They were surprised and delighted that she finally said, yes. Mother enjoyed church so much that she decided to come back. Tema and Tonia made sure they were on their best behavior, so mother would be happy, too. Now they all go to church together, and mother decided to get baptized. Do you have someone in your home that does not go to church on Sabbath? Why don't you pray for them? Outing Theme: Chickens and Bunnies Today the Eager Beavers learned about caring for chickens and bunnies as pets. We visited a church member's home who has them. The children got to hold, pet, and feed the animals. They jumped on the trampoline. They made a trail mix snack, too. They had lots of fun! Closing Ceremony: Goodbye Cheer and Promise
We ended our outing with our goodbye cheer, Bible promise song, and prayer. This was our last meeting of the year. Those present received their own Lumberjack to take home with them. |
