Early Bird Special: Mixing Paint Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath school. Today the early birds mixed primary colors to make secondary colors. Our Bible story today is about Lydia who sold purple cloth. Nature Nugget: Sunflowers During our nature lesson, the children learned about a plant that grows really tall, the sunflower! The sunflower is a beautiful flower that produces sunflower seeds. You can eat sunflower seeds and the baby sunflower plants, called shoots. The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:18, "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." God wants us to grow in knowledge about Him so we can realize our true potential. Watch this video to learn the full life cycle of a sunflower. Mission Mail: The Runaway Our mission story is about a boy named Sibono from South Africa. Mother told Sibono that they were going to start attending church on Saturday. Sibono didn't go with mother because he ran away to play with his friends, like he always did on Saturdays. Later mother told him the Bible story from church. Sibono liked it and wanted to hear more Bible stories. He decided to go to church with mother on Saturday. He liked church, especially the songs and Bible stories. Now he tries to invite his friends to come to church to hear them, too, but they just want to play. That's okay, Sibono says, I think Sabbath is better than soccer. Bible Story: Come to My House Table Time: Purple Tunic Paper Craft
