Left and Right
A. I don't like the intro and exit music of this video, but the teaching part is helpful in reviewing left and right. As an alternative, discuss left versus right.
B. Can you write your name? If you write with your left hand, you are left-handed. If you write with your right hand, you are right-handed.
C. Trace both of your hands beside each other. Color or put stickers on your dominant hand.
D. Go to a sink with two knobs. Turn the left knob only. Is the water hot or cold? Turn the right knob only. Is it hot or cold? Now try another faucet. Is it the same?
E. Can you put your shoes on the correct feet?
F. Now let's play follow the leader with our feet. March while chanting, "Left, left. Left, right, left."
G. Let's play Simon Says. This time, use left and right direction words. "Raise your right hand, etc."
