The Lord's Prayer Color Activity
This activity is adapted from Pass the Baton.  For children who like to learn in a tactile manner or who are artistic, try this colorful activity to help them memorize the Lord's Prayer.  

Find objects in the following colors, or write the words on color paper.  Then stack, sort, or string the colored objects or paper as you recite the Lord's Prayer:
  • Purple - Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name.
  • Blue - Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
  • Brown - Give us this day our daily bread.
  • Red - Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
  • Black - And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
  • Yellow - For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Doctrinal Statement Finger Play on the Godhead
  • Who is God? (hold chin, like questioning)
  • Heavenly Father to Whom I pray, (point up, then palms together for prayer)
  • Jesus Christ Who died for me, (open arms wide, then point to self)
  • Holy Spirit who lives in my heart, (make a lot of big circles with your pointer finger, then put hands together to make a heart)
  • All three are one God of love. (show 3 fingers, then 1 finger, then hug self)
