Getting the Most Out of Sabbath School

Your child will receive a take-home guide each month that has the following items in it:
  • The title of that month's Bible story and where you can find it in the Bible and in Spirit of Prophecy
  • The monthly Prayer Verse for daily devotions
  • Accompanying Prayer Prompt to respond to the monthly Prayer Verse
  • The monthly Nature Lesson that ties into the monthly Bible story
  • The current Memory Mastery task we are working on
You can use this take-home guide as an easy tool to guide your child's daily devotional activities.
  1. Review the Bible story. There is a short version in the picture captions for the youngest children.
  2. Say the prayer verse and explanation of it.
  3. Say the prayer prompt.
An Easy 5-Minute Devotional for Your Kindergarten Kid
Doing steps 1 through 3 above each day makes a simple, go-to devotional ritual for your child that is developing in them the daily habit of spending time in God's word and responding to it through prayer.  Best of all, it's practically all done for you, so it's easy to implement each week.  Breakfast or bedtime are great times to incorporate a daily devotional ritual.
