My Family 1

Refer to page 18 in the Builder Activity Book.  Make the following modifications.

A. Draw a picture about your family in the banner on page 18.

B. The Bible describes lots of different families.  Listen to these Bible verses and answer the questions below.  Circle the one you like the most.  

• This verse describes the birth of Moses.  What tribe of Israel did his family belong to?  Exodus 2:1,2
• Elkanah's wife, Hannah, was sad that she had no children.  What did she promise God in her prayer she would do if God gave her a son?  1 Samuel 1:10,11
• Esther, a Jew, became queen of Persia.  What was the name of her cousin that adopted her and raised her when her parents died?  Esther 2:7

Today we are going to do an appreciation activity as a family.  I am going to write down everything we say.  Let's all thing of one thing we like about...[mom, dad, brother, sister].

Now, let's think of something nice we can each do for each other.  Have child write their answer in their book on page 19.
