Early Bird Special: Coin Sorting Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today, the early birds sorted coins from highest value to lowest value. Our Bible story today is about a poor widow who gave the smallest value offering that was worth the most to Jesus. Nature Nugget: Clouds Clouds look like fluffy, white cotton balls in the sky. But they are not cotton. Clouds are made up of lots and lots of tiny droplets of water that are floating in the air. When the clouds get filled up with water, then they drop water down from the sky. We call that rain. Sometimes, clouds come down very close to the earth and make it hard to see. We call that fog. The Bible says in Mark 13:26, "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory." When Jesus comes back to this earth to take us home with Him. He is coming in the clouds. Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments This is our last day practicing the first four Commandments and their meanings. Next week, we will begin learning the meanings of the last 6 Commandments. Can you help your child memorize the 10 Commandments? Practice with me right here. Mission Helper: The Unexpected Church Dorcas lives in Papua New Guinea. When she came back from Bible camp, she decided to share with her two friends at school the Bible verse cards she had. "Let's meet and learn these Bible verses together," she said. The next day, ten children met Dorcas during recess to practice the Bible verses. Everyday more and more children came. After 2 weeks, there were 20 children in Dorcas' Bible Club! Then, Dorcas told all the friends to come to her house for Bible Club. They came on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Within 6 months, 100 children and some parents were coming to Bible Club!! Soon, a new church was planted in Dorcas' village! What can you do to share with your friends about Jesus? Early Bird Special: Social Time Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today the early birds had fun socializing with each other. It's fun having friends at church. Nature Nugget: Good Foods God made so many different kinds of plants in this world. Plants clean the air, provide shade and cover, and make the world beautiful. God also made special plants that give us food. Some of our food grows on vines. Others grow under ground. Some grow on trees. Others cover the ground. God said in Genesis 1:29, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food." What is your favorite fruit, vegetable, grain, seed, or nut? Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments We are working on understanding the meaning of the first four commandments. Can you help your child memorize all of them? You can practice with me right here. Mission Helper: Angels Are Real Israel and Laurie are brothers in Papua New Guinea. For a long time they liked to disobey and do naughty things. But, one day, they saw a bright light, and both boys saw each other's guardian angel. Mother told them that God was helping them see that His angels are always with them to take care of them. Now, they don't want to be naughty anymore. In fact, now, they tell others that God cares for them and is watching over them. They tell others about their angels. God has sent an angel to watch over you, too.
