Eager Beavers Meeting November 11

Eager Beaver Cheer
We open our meeting with our Eager Beaver cheer that has the pledge that the children must learn this year in order to get their pin.  I would appreciate if you would practice their pledge at home with them.

Meeting Themes: Birds and Jigsaw Puzzle
We continued working on our Birds chip today, while starting the Jigsaw Puzzle chip.  The children completed several activities station-style.

Bible Story: Noah's Ark
Children listened to the Noah's Ark story to find out what bird God used to help Noah find out that dry land was there.  Below is a poem from part of the Noah's Ark story entitled, Noah Inside the Ark.  Can you hear what bird is mentioned in this Bible story?

Eager Beaver Promise
We end our meeting with singing our Eager Beaver promise, Philippians 4:4, which the children must learn this year in order to get their pin.  Thankfully, most children already know this verse.

Announcements

• Our next meeting is next week, Wednesday, November 18 at 6 PM.  We will finish the Jigsaw Puzzle chip, review Fire Safety, and have a little award ceremony, so the children can receive their Birds, Jigsaw Puzzle, and Fire Safety chips.
• I distributed sashes today.  Unfortunately, Advent Source is out of stock of T-shirts.  I will look into designing our own and doing an iron-on transfer.
• Please make sure children learn their address and phone number in order to earn their Fire Safety chip.
• If you missed any of the previous meetings, please review the Birds, Jigsaw Puzzle, and Fire Safety chip pages to make sure your child has completed those activities, so they can receive their chips on November 18.
