Sabbath School April 30
Early Bird Special: Bible Alphabet Giant Floor Puzzle
Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today the early birds put together a giant Bible alphabet floor puzzle.
Nature Nugget: Stones
Do you know how jagged rocks can become smooth stones in a river bed? Over many years, the water rushes over them carrying debris and grit that scrub a little here and a little there till the rocks become perfectly smooth stones. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that we "are being transformed... by the Spirit of the Lord." We have a lot of sharp edges in our characters. But, if we give the Holy Spirit permission, he will smooth out our characters and make us kind, thoughtful people like Jesus.
Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments
We are reviewing the meaning of the first four commandments. Will you help your child memorize them all. You can practice along with me here.
Mission Helper: The Children of Ngalitatae
In the village of Ngalitatae, there was flash flooding from heavy rains. Homes were swept way with everything inside. Many of the residents were left with nothing. The members of the Adventist Church in the nearby village of Varamata brought food and clothing to the people of Ngalitatae. The people also wanted to learn more about Jesus. So, church members set up branch Sabbath Schools in some of the homes that were left intact. Mr. Brave Unikana, a teacher, helped start a children's Sabbath School program beside his house. They set up a tent for the children, but when it rains, the ground becomes too muddy for Sabbath School. This 13th Sabbath, the world church is raising money to build Sabbath School shelters for the children. Will you help?
