Sabbath School February 20
Early Bird Special: Color Mixing Puzzle
Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today our early birds put together a color mixing puzzle to discover what colors you make when you mix the primary colors a couple of times. Our Bible story today is about the colorful rainbow of God's promise to never flood the earth again.
Nature Nugget: Ants
Ants are fascinating creatures to watch. They scurry here and there. They go in and out of their hole in the ground. They find their way to our kitchens. Ants live in big groups called colonies. Each ant has a very specific job to do. Some ants just take care of the baby ants. Other ants take away the trash. Some ants scout out new sources of food and send word to the ants that go collect it. The Bible says in Proverbs 6:6, "Go to the ant, you sluggard (lazy person)! Consider her ways and be wise." God wants us to work hard serving each other and staying on task like the ant. When mommy or daddy asks you to do a job, do you finish it?
Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments
We are memorizing the 10 Commandments as a class. You can practice with your child in the car or at home. Your child can practice with me right here on this blog page. Children who learn the 10 Commandments receive real samples of (fool's) gold, frankincense, and myrrh to add to their Bible artifact collection.
Mission Trip: Pablo Preaches
Pablo lives in Asuncion, Paraguay. Since he was six years old, he has been preaching sermons at church. He and his family enjoy having family worship everyday. Pablo loves sharing with others about Jesus. How can you serve Jesus at church?
