Early Bird Special: Creation Floor Puzzle Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today, our early birds put together a giant floor puzzle of creation. Our Bible story is about Adam and Eve, the first man and woman. Nature Nugget: Moss In the woods, God has put a green carpet on rocks or trees in damp, shady places. It's called moss. Moss is a special kind of plant that does not have roots. Instead, its leaves soak up water for the plant. Moss is very very tiny. The reason why it looks big is that lots and lots of moss plants grow together. If you touch it, it feels nice and soft. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 1:17, "You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great." God is fair to the needs of the tiny moss and the big tree that the moss grows on. We should be fair with others, no matter if they are small or big. Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments We are currently working on memorizing the 10 Commandments, while still reciting the story headline, Moses Receives the 10 Commandments. If you feel able, please practice the 10 Commandments at home with your child. Review the 10 Commandments memory mastery page for more ideas. Mission Trip: River Boys, Part 1 On our "mission trip" this quarter, we are still visiting in the Amazon, where we are learning about the area and finding out what God has already done there to prepare the way for our special projects.... The Amazon River goes through mostly rainforest. The biggest snake in the world called the anaconda lives there, and so does the pink Amazon dolphin! There are lots of little villages along the river. There is no electricity, TV or video games. The children enjoy playing in nature. In one village called Rose of Sharon, two boys named Matheus and Adaias saw a big boat come to shore. It was the Luzeiro 26th. There were a doctor, a nurse, a dentist, and a pastor on the boat who came to help the village people. Everyday the boys came to the boat to visit. They even wanted to help carry wood and sand, so the missionaries could build a new classroom. The nurse invited the boys to study at the Seventh-day Adventist school far away, since the boys had already finished their studies at the village school. But the boys' families had no money. Do you think they were able to go? We will find out next week. Bible Story: God's Friends Table Time: Adam and Eve Coloring Page Take Home Guide
