Early Bird Special: Anytime Binder Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today our early birds completed Bible coloring activity sheets from the Anytime Binder. Nature Nugget: Deserts Deserts are places that receive less than 15 inches of rainfall a year and thus have very little vegetation. Some are hot and dry. Others are so cold that the snow never melts to water the earth. Some deserts are covered in sand. There are plants and animals that can live in the desert. God has given them special ways to adapt to the extreme environment. For example, cacti are plants that hold extra water in their trunk, so when it rains, they can store up for the dry season. Camels are domesticated desert animals. That means they are raised by human beings and help us. They and other desert animals use water very efficiently in their bodies, so they don’t need to drink water every day. When we don’t have Jesus in our lives, we are like deserts. We thirst for something in our lives to give us purpose and hope. God says in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold I will do a new thing!... I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Jesus is here to give us “living fountains of waters” (Revelation 7:17) – life for all eternity and joy and peace in our life here. Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments We are learning the meaning of the last 6 commandments now. Can you help your child memorize all the commandments? You can practice along with me right here. Mission Helper: Working with Jesus Jennifer lives in New Zealand. Since she was 5 years old, she and her mother and some friends have run a special Bible Club for neighborhood kids called Kidz Time. She helps make signs, tell stories, sing songs, and play games with the children. Jennifer likes working with Jesus. What can you do to share Jesus with others in your neighborhood?
