Early Bird Special: Lost Coins Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today our early birds searched for lost coins around the room. Our Bible story today is about Abram, God's friend, who rescued Lot and returned the items that he found to the King of Sodom. Nature Nugget: Dandelions Dandelions are cheerful, yellow flowers that seem to grow everywhere, even in places where you don't want them to be. They spread easily because when their flower dries up, it leaves behind a puffy, white ball of seed. Each black seed is attached to a little white parachute that is easily carried by the wind. The seed puts down a deep tap root that is hard to pull up. That's why dandelions travel to so many different places and survive in all kinds of situations. The Bible says in Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Just as the dandelion likes to spread its seed far and wide and take root and grow, God wants us to go near and far to share with others the good news about Jesus' love. Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments We are memorizing the 10 Commandments right now. I hope you can work on them in the car a couple of days a week by using the CD and booklet I sent home with you. Below are the Bible artifacts children can earn.
Children who are done with the 10 Commandments series can move on to the Lord's Prayer. It is also on the CD. They will earn a replica of the clay oil lamps used in Jesus' day. Mission Trip: The Book in the Shoe Store Ms. Graciela had heard some interesting things about an author Ellen White. She decided she wanted to read one of Ellen White's books but she didn't know where to find one. One day, one of her children received a book at a shoe store. It was by Ellen White! Her son brought the book back to Ms. Graciela to read. She was so happy to learn about Jesus through Ellen White's book. She decided to study the Bible more and became a Seventh-day Adventist. Last week we met Ms. Sonia who teaches neighborhood children about Jesus in her house. Eventually, so many children came that Ms. Sonia had to find a bigger place for them to meet. Thankfully, Ms. Graciela, who is also a friend of Ms. Sonia at church, said they could all come to her house, which was much bigger than Ms. Sonia's house. Everyone was so happy. Our 13th Sabbath mission offering is going to establish a center of influence in Uruguay. Bible Story: Abram to the Rescue Table Time: Helping Others Coloring Page Take Home Guide
