Early Bird Special: Anytime Binder and Folders
Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today the early birds chose an activity to do out of the Anytime Bin.
Nature Nugget: Stars
Stars are big balls of hot gas in the universe very far away from us. They look like white lights from down here, but they really come in different colors. The hottest stars are actually blue. Then comes white, yellow, orange, and red. The coolest stars are brown. Our sun is actually a blue-green color, but from our perspective it looks yellow.
The Bible says in Psalm 147:4, "He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name." God placed the stars in space and stretched out the universe. Even though there are so many stars that we could never count them, God can count them, and He knows about each one. There are lots of people on this earth, but God knows exactly how many there are. He even knows each of us by name, too.
Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments
We are memorizing and learning the meaning of the first four commandments. Can you help your child memorize all of them? They can earn samples of (fool's) gold, frankincense, and myrrh to add to their Bible artifacts collection. Practice with me right here.
Mission Helper: The Early Bird
One day Helen visited church with her aunt on Sabbath. She liked it so much, she decided to stay for the afternoon Pathfinders program. She learned that in Pathfinders you get to go camping and hiking, you learn how to tie knots and do first aid, and you even learn how to give sermons. Helen decided to continue visiting church on Sabbaths, and she joined the Pathfinders program. Now, Helen's mother and siblings go to church on Sabbaths with her. Sometimes even her father comes. Is there someone you can invite to church?
