Early Bird Special: Bible Mazes
Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School.  Today our early birds completed Bible maze puzzles.  In our Bible story today, Paul and his fellow prisoners go on a crazy journey through a storm trying to get to Rome.  

Nature Nugget: Flies
During nature time, the children learned about house flies.  They can transmit germs.  They have special eyes that help them see all around them.  They are hard to catch.  The Bible says in Psalm 101:3, "I will set nothing wicked before my eyes."  The flies use their eyes to stay safe.  We should use our eyes to stay safe in Jesus by letting them see chores that need to be done, dangers to stay away from, ways to help others, and of course God's two special books, the Bible and the book of nature.

Memory Mastery: The 10 Commandments

I continue to review this story line with the children till they at least learn the title and Bible reference: "Moses receives the 10 Commandments - Exodus chapter 24 and chapter 31 verse 18."  I am also beginning my review of the 10 Commandments, as I want the children to memorize the 10 Commandments as well.  Below is the recitation assignment for the 10 Commandments.

Mission Mail: God is Our Help
Papias is a 9 year old boy that lives in Zimbabwe.  Papias cannot swim.  One Sabbath his family went for a walk along the river.  Mother and father told Papias to be careful on the rocks because they are very slippery.  Papias' brother saw a fish and reached in the water and grabbed it.  Papias wanted to grab one, too, so he bent over to reach in.  He lost his footing and fell in the water.  Oh no!  His head went under water, and he prayed to God for help.  His sister called their parents over.  Suddenly, his mother jumped in and pulled him out of the water.  Father wrapped him up in his warm jacket.  Papias learned that it's important to obey your parents and to learn to swim.  He also was very glad that God is our help.

Today children decorated place mats to be used at fellowship dinner next week.
