Early Bird Special: Hidden Pictures
Children who arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 AM get to do a bonus activity in Sabbath School. Today our early birds looked for objects in hidden pictures Bible pages to remind them of our Bible story today when Saul lost his sight on the road to Damascus looking for Christians.
Nature Nugget: Moon
Today during nature time, the children learned that the moon reflects light from the sun at night. Because different parts of the moon are in "shade," it's shape seems to change - called moon phases. God says in Genesis 1:14, "Then God said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.'" The moon's cycles help us keep up with the months of the year. Check out this very clear and visual explanation showing why the moon seems to change its shape.
